About

The ancient thermal baths of Cinais constitute an active Gallo-Roman thermal complex from the second to the fourth century, located in the French commune of Cinais in Indre-et-Loire. The excavations highlight a complex of parts that may develop over 600 m2. The thermal baths function in their initial configuration in the 2nd and 3rd centuries, before a fire in the 4th century forced them to be reconstructed largely on a slightly modified plane. The importance of these thermal baths certainly gives them a public status within the ancient secondary agglomeration of Cinais, which is still to be located at the level of the village.
