About

The Museum of Art and History of the Sainte-Anne Hospital (MAHHSA) is located in the compound of the Sainte-Anne Hospital, today the University Hospital Group (GHU), in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Directed by Anne-Marie Dubois, who is its Scientific Manager, the museum organizes temporary exhibitions each year, designed around themes. The entire collection is available on the Navigart platform.

The museum's collection responds to its mission of dealing with the links between art and psychiatry. The museum wishes to present the works of patient-artists, for their aesthetic quality and place them in a general artistic context, with the desire to destigmatize the look on the works produced in a hospital context. He was named "Musée de France" in 2016.

It is run by a recognized association of general interest, the Centre for the Study of Expression, established in 1973, which also provides training in art therapy and has an important documentation centre.
