About

Condate is a road station mentioned on the Puisinger table on the itinerary from Revessio (Saint Paulien) to Anderitum (Javols). The site, whose name indicates the presence of a confluent, is most certainly located north of the communal territory of Saint-Bonnet-de-Montauroux (Saint-Bonnet-Laval since 1 January 2017), at the confluence of the Allier and the Chapeauroux, in the far northeast of the French department of Lozère. The site also develops in the commune of Saint-Haon (Haute-Loire), on the right bank of the Allier.
