The Matmut Stadium is a former rugby and football stadium in Vénissieux. He hosted the home games of the University Olympic Lyon between 2011 and 2017 as well as several meetings of the Venissieux FC in the Coupe de France.

The LOU project: After studying several projects to replace the old Vuillermet Stadium and after the club's rise to the top 14, the Lyon leaders decided to start building a modular enclosure in place of their training centre from the plain of the United States south of Lyon. The stadium is named Matmut Stadium following an agreement with Matmut for an amount of two million euros per year over a period of five years. This is the first case of Naming in French rugby. The financing of the works has been entirely private, allowing the Lyon OR to be the 100% owner. The construction project was led by GL Events, the EM2C Group and Serfim.
