About

The North Linear Forest is a green space located along the Paris Peripheral Boulevard in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, in the Pont-de-Flandre district.

Situation and access: The North Linear Forest is accessible via the line at Rosa-Parks station, via the line at Canal Saint-Denis station.

Characteristics: The green space is a plot of 11,000 m2, located between the buildings of the Millennium Park located along the Darse des Magasins générales du Canal Saint-Denis (also known as the Darse du Millénaire) and the Boulevard Peripheral de Paris, bounded to the east by wharf du Lot and to the west by the Claude-Bernard Bridge, symmetry of the Southern Linear Forest, on the other side of the Boulevard Peripheral. It also has the function of mitigating the noises of the Peripheral Boulevard. It consists of a "forest", a dense plantation of trees and shrubs, in the open ground and growing naturally, and a meadow. The forest is planted with various francilian species and is tolerant to high temperatures. The meadow is mainly dry but has a pond. The whole is an ecological reserve.
