Esplanade de l'Europe (Villeurbanne)

The Esplanade de l'Europe is a green space located in Villeurbanne in the Charpennes-Tonkin district. It is crossed by the Jean Monnet mail. The park was created at the same time as the modern complex of Tonkin and its slab in the 1980s. Today, it has a large grassy meadow, a children's playground and two multi-sport grounds.

The esplanade also hosts a monumental fountain of contemporary style, the fountain of Giants, built in 1984, by Anne and Patrick Poirier
