château d'Ochsenstein
Ochsenstein Castle is a castle in the French commune of Reinhardsmunster, Lower Rhine. He was the fief of the house of Ochsenstein, a powerful family of medieval Alsace. The castle is built on three sandstone spurs and thus constitutes three separate castles: the Grand Ochsenstein, the Petit Ochsenstein and a third building probably called Wachelheim Castle. The castle of Ochsenstein has been classified as historical monuments since 6 December 1898.
