Monument aux Girondins

The monument to the Girondins, located in Bordeaux place des Quinconces, was erected between 1894 and 1901, in memory of the girondin deputies victims of the Terror. The Bordelais commonly referred to it as the Girondin column or the Girondin monument. It has been classified as historical monuments since 16 March 2011, after being registered on 8 July 2004, the ranking having been approved by the Bordeaux City Council on 25 October 2010.
