The church of Sainte-Croix in Bordeaux is the ancient abbey of a Benedictine monastery (Sancta Crux Burdegalensis). She is now a parish church. The church is classified as historical monuments by the list of 1840.

Church: Although the abbey was founded in the 7th century, the present church was only built in the late 11th and early 12th centuries, with a Romanesque Romanesque façade. It has the shape of a Latin cross. It consists of a nave of five parallel spans of 39 m, a transept with a large apsidiole on each arm and a polygonal apse of 15.30 m height. The monk dom Bedos de Celles made his organ in 1750, currently considered a masterpiece. It was restored in 1995 by the factor Pascal Quérin. The church was restored by Paul Abadie between 1861 and 1865, who added a symmetrical bell tower to the original left of the façade. It also preserves two works by the painter Guillaume Cureau (circa 1595-1648): Saint Mommolin healing a possessed and Saint Maur healing a sick person, and an Exaltation of the Cross by A....
