Forges d'Abainville

About

The Forges d'Abainville are located in the department of the Meuse, district of Bar-le-Duc on the commune of Abainville, in the Ornain valley. We worked on the cast iron and then the stone, following the development of technology and the steel decline. These forges bear witness to the industrial past of the southern Meuse and Vosges, also close to the hercynian massif of the Vosges and its granite quarries.
