About

The tourniquet of Pierre Chave, located on the territory of the municipality of Miribel-les-Échelles, in the department of Isère, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, consists mainly of a bridge built under Napoleon III, but opened to traffic in 1886. Its main feature is to support and then overhang departmental road 49 in succession, which constitutes an extremely rare road configuration.
