The bunkers of Pignerolle, located in the commune of Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou, in the French department of Maine-et-Loire, are a former fortified site of the Atlantic Wall. Labeled Remarkable contemporary architecture, this site is now valued and hosted by the Association du Mémorial des bunkeres de Pignerolle since 2010.

World War II: Following the raid of the British army on the form Joubert de Saint-Nazaire on 28 March 1942, more commonly known as Operation Chariot, Kriegsmarine Commander Erich Raeder considered that the risk of attack by sea for certain units was high and decided to move the U-boot Western Command Centre to Pignerolle for strategic, geographical and political reasons. Faced with this fear of attack, the Kriegsmarine headquarters decided to build a bunker for command and transmission of communications from 1942.
