The Impressionist House is a house in Argenteuil, Val-d'Oise, France. Built in 1871, this "swiss chalet" house was occupied between 1874 and 1878 by the painter Claude Monet, who made 259 paintings, including 156 representations of the city. Purchased by the municipality in 2003, the 150 m2 building has since been transformed into a cultural space dedicated to this master of Impressionism. Opened for the first time to the public on September 17, 2022, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, it includes a replica of the workshop boat used by the artist to paint on the Seine.
