abbaye Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens de Joncels
Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens Abbey in Joncels is a former Romanesque abbey located in Joncels in the French department of Hérault in the Occitan region. Founded probably in the 7th century, the abbey depended on the abbey of Psalmody from the 10th to the 12th century and was also attached to the abbey of Saint-Victor in Marseilles in the 14th century. Today, of what was in the Middle Ages one of the most important abbeys in Languedoc and one of the oldest monasteries in the region, only the church, the capitular hall and part of the cloister remain.
