About

L'Atelier-Musée de l'Printerie is a museum dedicated to the history of printing, located in Malesherbois and opened in 2018. His heritage fund is mainly from the collection of presses and machines assembled by Serge Pozzoli, taken over after his death by Jean-Paul Maury. The museum, which required an initial investment of €6 million, is managed by the Artegraf association, which brings together printing and graphic arts professionals. In addition to almost 150 printing machines (presses, monotypes, linotypes, etc.), the museum preserves ancient works, as well as lithography, shaping and binding materials. With an area of 5,000 m2, including 1,000 m2 dedicated to temporary exhibitions, it is Europe's largest printing museum. In its first year of existence, the Atelier-musée welcomed 28,400 visitors. In 2020, the museum's first temporary exhibition is dedicated to the world of vinyl records. In January 2023 he obtained the label "Musée de France".
