The Château-fort de la Roche Piriou is a building located in Priziac, France.

Location: The castle is located in the territory of the municipality of Priziac, at the place called Roche Piriou, in the department of Morbihan in Brittany.

From the 11th century castle there is no vestige left today. During the construction of the departmental railway line, cutting the end of the hill on which the castle was built, the base of a large round tower dating from the thirteenth century was discovered. By moving the land, various objects were found, including large stone pellets as they were in the 14th century, a horse-drawn iron, a copper pot with bronze feet, a clay vase in the shape of a barrel, with a neck and two handles on the side.

The seigneury of La Roche Piriou originated from a man named Piriou, third son of Budic, Count of Cornouaille. The latter had built around 1025 on a steep hill at the confluence of the Ellé and the Aër in Priziac a stunning fortress, probably built of wood, the Roche-Périou.
