Musée du Faouët

The Musée du Faouët, located in Faouët in the department of Morbihan in Brittany, is a painting museum inaugurated in 1987 in a former convent of the Ursulines of the seventeenth century, at No. 1 of the rue de Quimper. The museum presents a collection of drawings, paintings, engravings and sculptures, testifying to the daily life of Fauët from 1845 to 1945. From the mid-19th century onwards, the rich heritage and traditions of the Faouët attracted many French and foreign artists to inland Brittany.
