grottes de Calès
The caves of Calès, near Lamanon (Bouches-du-Rhône), at the eastern end of the Alpilles massif, are a habitat site that was occupied from the prehistoric period until the 15th century. They consist, on several stages of the cliff, of troglodytic habitats dug by man. They served as either a refuge or a permanent residence over the millennia.
