château du Haut-Koenigsbourg
The castle of Haut-Koenigsburg or sometimes just Haut-Koenigsburg (in German Hohkönigsburg) is an Alsatian castle of the 12th century, profoundly renovated in the 15th century and restored before World War I during the reign of William II. The castle stands on the ban of the French commune of Orschwiller, in the department of Bas-Rhin and on the territory of the European community of Alsace. The castle of Haut-Koenigsburg is one of the most important sites visited in Alsace.
