Archaeological site
fanum de Pupillin
The Pupillin Fanum is a small Gallo-Roman temple of the High Roman Empire (first century BC in the 2nd century), of which there are only a few archaeological remains. The site, located in the commune of Pupillin, in the Jura department, in Franche-Comté, has been listed as historical monuments since 2 November 1987. Discovered at the end of the 19th century, it was the subject of excavations during the 1970s and 1980s that helped to determine the structure of the monument, its nature and its dating.
