Church building
collégiale Saint-Hippolyte
The collegiate Saint-Hippolyte de Poligny (France) was built in the 15th century mainly thanks to the donations of Jean Chousat, bourgeois of the city and member of the Grand Council of Burgundy, and enriched by Jean Chevrot, bishop of Tournai and president of the council of Philippe le Bon. The speed of its construction in less than half a century gives it an exceptional architectural unit. From its origin, it has accumulated the statutes of collegiate church and parish church. The college was classified as historical monuments in 1911.
