La Grande Nef Lucien-Beloni is the sports palace of the city of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, located in the commune of L'Île-Saint-Denis.

History: In 1955, the city of Saint-Ouen acquired land from the Menier chocolate establishments on the site known as "Île des Vannes", which constituted the southern tip of the current Île Saint-Denis. At this unurbanized place, and heavily flooded in 1910, a community of ragers still lived near the Mahu Tower, an ancient and decrepit building that would not survive further work. As soon as the land is acquired, the municipality plans to build a sports palace. The preliminary omnisport palace project was tabled in 1959 by Lucien Metrich and Anatole Kopp, but the construction site will only begin in 1968 on the project submitted by architects Pierre Chazanoff, Anatole Kopp and engineer René Sarger. The sports complex includes a covered stadium, a swimming pool, an outdoor stadium and facilities for a rowing club and a boulodrome. It was inaugurated on 27 February 1971.
