About

Villa Clippiacum (Clippiacum Villa Regalis, Palatium Clippiacum. In the 12th century Clichiacum) is a former royal villa located on the territories of Clichy and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, in Seine-Saint-Denis, centered on the district of Old Saint-Ouen, where is the present church Saint-Ouen-le-Vieux. High on a promontory of a few meters, inhabited from the Middle Paleolithic, and where some vines grow, the place dominates the Seine. Close by, Rue Saint-Denis is heading for the Abbey of the same name, and Rue du Landy is heading towards Aubervilliers.
