château de Besne
The castle of Besne stands on the town of Saint-Peruse in the department of Nièvre in the region Burgundy-Franche-Comté.
This 15th century castle was built after the destruction of the feudal castle during the clashes between Charles de Témeraire and Louis XI (probably between 1474 and 1475). This feudal castle was located west of the present castle, near the village church. From this first castle there are only two walls left. In the case of historical monuments, facades, roofs and vaulted cellars are registered by order of 7 October 1975; the communes ( stables and cowries), the guardian's house, the kennel, the dovecote, in whole as well as the wall situated in the courtyard with its turret, the well, the gate and gate, the garden and the fence walls are the subject of an inscription by order of 25 February 2002.
