The Costume Museum, also known as the Museum of Costume and Popular Arts and Traditions of Morvan, is a museum labeled "Musée de France", located in Château-Chinon (Nièvre). It presents the evolution of fashion and clothing in France from the end of the 18th century until the middle of the 20th century, through an important collection of costumes and accessories. In September 2019, the museum closed to the public for major modernization work, in conjunction with the Museum of the Septennium. The two establishments must be brought together within the new "Cité des Presents – François Mitterrand", a cultural equipment that began a gradual opening in spring 2025 and whose complete museum spaces are planned for spring 2026.
