The château de l'Hers, located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the banks of the Rhône has origins dating back to the beginning of the 10th century. Until the French Revolution, he was an enclave of Languedoc in Comtat Venaissin. Protected as historical monuments since 1973 and in 2023, he gave his name to a wine estate.
