The Romanesque chapel Saint-Martin de Caderousse was the first parish church in Caderousse. One of the charters of the cartular of Cluny Abbey confirms that it depended on the Burgundy Abbey at the end of the 11th century. It was around her that the first nucleus of the village was formed, but the floods of the Rhône forced it to move.
