The Queen's Fountain, also known as the Reynie Fountain, or Greneta Fountain, is a 16th-century fountain located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Out of the water, it is enclosed in the corner of the buildings of 142 rue Saint-Denis and 28 rue Greneta. It has been listed as historic monuments since 1994.
Description: The fountain is enclosed in the building forming the corner of two streets. It has low relief bosses; a semi-circle with a royal shield the crown. Once at the height of the passers-by, his mascaron from which the water was flowing disappeared.
Fontaine: At the beginning of the 16th century, the manufacturer Claude Aubry built a building backed by the Trinity Hospital. At the same time, on its façade, the "Queen's fountain" also known as the Greneta fountain rises. In 1732, architect Jean Beausire built a second fountain, still in place. On that occasion, he joined one of his sons for the first time.
