The Longchamp Palace is a neo-classical style water palace and castle-Second Empire of the 19th century, in the Cinq-Avenues district of the 4th arrondissement of Marseille, in the Bouches-du-Rhône in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The site has been listed as historic monuments since October 1, 1974 and has been classified since November 18, 1997 and September 8, 1999. Inaugurated in 1869, the Palace consists of several entities:
the central water castle pavilion, is a reservoir of the Durance waters coming from the Marseille Canal of 85 km, which is the main historical source of drinking water in the city of Marseille.
