The Adolf-Michaelis Museum — or Strasbourg gypsum library — is a museum that preserves the collection of the classical archaeology institute of the University of Strasbourg. This collection was assembled by Adolf Michaelis as soon as he arrived in 1874, he was the first holder of the chair of classical archaeology at the Imperial University of Strasbourg (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Universität) founded in 1872. It is possible to visit this collection located on the ground garden of the Strasbourg university palace on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2 p.m.
