About

The Traouïero valley is composed of two steep valleys where the Kérougant winds and leads to the port of Ploumanac'h and its two tidal mills. This stream is the natural boundary between Perros-Guirec and Tregastel. The Petit-Traouïero arrives at the Ploumanac'h (Milin Ru) ice mill, the Grand-Traouïero at the Tregastel wheat mill (Milin Glaz).

These steep valleys hide granite chaos lined with mosses and surrounded by ferns in a thick undergrowth of oaks, chestnut trees, ash trees, alders and hazelnut trees... It is the ancient climatic influences and erosion that gave rise to these great granitic chaos... In the 19th century, they were used to park animals in stone walls.

It was also at that time that the first careers were opened: they still exist at the back of the Traouïero. Acquired in 1984 by the General Council, they were declared inconstructible and qualified as geological, floristic and faunistic. The trail was designed for pedestrians and riders.
