Escal的Atlantic is a centre of interpretation on the history of transoceanic ships, located in France in the commune of Saint-Nazaire, in the Loire-Atlantique department in the Pays de la Loire region. It includes a scenic course covering 3,700 m2 established on three levels, and includes nearly 200 objects of collection, from ships built in Saint-Nazaire between the late 19th and early 1960s. Located in the former underwater base of the port of Saint-Nazaire, Escal-Atlantic has welcomed more than 2 million visitors since its opening in 2000. In its new version, opened since the summer of 2013, this tourist and cultural equipment combines a scenic journey, inspired by the architecture of liners, remarkable objects of collections and multimedia devices for an immersive visit in the world of liners.
