About

The Piano Museum of Limoux is endowed with a collection of pianos remarkable for the quality and interest of the hundred exhibits. This museum, inaugurated in 2002, gathers a hundred instruments dating from the 18th century to the present. The collection is exhibited in the church of Saint James which was part of the Dominican convent founded in the 14th century on the right bank of the city. Over the last ten years, Jean-Jacques Trinques, a factor and piano accordor in Foix, has gathered and restored pianos from individuals and professionals, members of the Afarp-Europiano France (Association française des factors et accordeurs de pianos).
