About

Notre Dame de Saint-Omer Cathedral is a Catholic church located in Saint-Omer, Pas-de-Calais, France. Dedicated to the Sainte-Vierge, the building retains its cathedral status because the bishopric is triple: Arras, Boulogne and Saint-Omer. Minor Basilica erected by Pope Leo XIII on April 4, 1879.

The cathedral was built from the 11th century to the 16th century. Its architecture combines elements of primitive Gothic style, radiant and flamboyant. The cathedral includes an astronomical clock of 1558, a monumental organ buffet, a Rubens painting and a labyrinth slab.
