Railway bridge
pont Charles-Vaillant
The Charles-Vaillant Bridge is a railway bridge crossing the Adour at Bayonne. It is located near the old railway viaduct, locally known as the Eiffel Bridge, which crossed the Adour since 1862. This new work designed by architect Alain Spielmann was partially put into service (only one of the two tracks) in March 2013, and completely at the end of 2013 or early 2014. The City Council of Bayonne decided to appoint Charles-Vaillant (railway historian and Bayon doctor) in 2016, which was effective in 2017.
