The Basque and History Museum of Bayonne presents a historiographic and ethnographic collection dedicated to the Basque Country in France. This goes from the daily life of the shepherd and the farmer since protohistory, tools, domestic and traditional arts, paintings, games and dances, and Basque identity throughout the centuries. Located in Bayonne, in 2003 it received the label Musée de France and has been managed since 2007 by the Joint Union of the Basque Museum consisting of the city of Bayonne, the agglomeration Côte Basque-Adour and the General Council of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
