Church building
église de Saint-Avit-Sénieur
The church of Saint-Avit-Seneur is a religious building located in the commune of Saint-Avit-Seneur, in the French department of the Dordogne. It was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998, under the title of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle in France. The imposing dimensions of this Romanesque building (55 m long) are due to the pilgrimage and the reputation of Saint Avit, whose relics (now extinct) were transferred to the building at the beginning of the twelfth century.
