Pont de Saint-Projet

The Saint-Project Bridge is a French suspension bridge located in the Haute-Vallée de la Dordogne, between Arches in the Cantal and Neuvic in Corrèze. It crossed the Dordogne in a span of 195 metres. The opening of this bridge took place in 1945 following the launching of the Eagle Dam 5 km downstream of the bridge, which drowned the old 19th-century bridge. Below was the convent of Saint-Project dating from the 15th century and the village of Saint-Project-le-Désert, swallowed by the lake.
