viaduc des Rochers Noirs
The viaduct des Rochers Noirs, also known as Roche-Taillade, is a suspension bridge allowing the crossing of the gorges of Luzège, at the narrowest point, between Lapreau and Soursac in the French department of Corrèze, in the Massif centrale. Inaugurated in 1913, its use was originally solely railway for the passage of the old Transcorrezian line, managed by the trams of the Corrèze, linking Tulle to Ussel. It was then used from 1960 to 1983 as a road bridge and then only a pedestrian bridge.
Closed to all traffic from 2005 due to age, it has undergone a major renovation and has been reopened since the end of 2024 to pedestrian and cycling traffic. The viaduct is classified as Historic Monuments.
