The chapel Saint-Jean de Garguier is a chapel located in the commune of Gémenos, canton of Aubagne in the Bouches-du-Rhône, in Provence. A group house adjoins the chapel.

History: When Massalia (Marseille) was founded around 600, Phocaeans set up vineyards in places close to their city. This was confirmed by the discovery of the first Hellenistic vineyards in Saint-Jean-de-Garguier. During antiquity, a Gallo-Roman villa, "Gargarius", was located on the site. It was in the fifth century that the place became a parish, religious center, and briefly, bishopric. He was then attached to the Abbey of Saint-Pons de Gémenos. It was auctioned at the Revolution, and in 1952 its owner left it to the diocese of Marseilles. It was finally restored in the 2000s. Nowadays, a pilgrimage house is associated with the chapel.

Architecture: The site consists of a chapel, built in 1646, and a priory, four wings built around a courtyard.
