Marineland d'Antibes
Marineland Park, also commonly known as Marineland d'Antibes (1970-2025), is a former French theme park located on the French Riviera in Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes). Founded in 1970 by Roland de La Poype, it became the property of the Spanish multinational Parques Reunidos. With about 4,000 specimens on 26 hectares, it consisted of a marine zoological park including a delphinarium and several aquariums, an aquatic park (Aquasplash), a children's playground (Kid's Island), a minigolf (Aventure Golf) and a three-star SoBlue Hotel (ex Marineland Hotel).
Delphinarium was one of the two existing in France and one of the two to present orcas in Europe. He was a permanent member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and had participated in several European programmes for endangered species (EEP). With 425,000 annual visitors, it was one of the most visited tourist sites in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
