The Palace of the Pharo (of the Occitan faròt, lighthouse) is a Marseille monument whose construction is ordered by Napoleon III for Empress Eugénie in the second half of the 19th century. Today, it belongs to the city of Marseille and is a welcoming place for congresses and various events. It dominates the port pass, sea side, as well as the Pharo garden, city side.
