villa Méditerranée
The Villa Méditerranée is a public building located in the 2nd arrondissement of Marseille, on the J4 esplanade, in the Joliette district (Euroméditerranée perimeter). It was originally intended to host conferences, meetings and exhibitions. It was inaugurated on April 7, 2013, closed in January 2018, and reopened in 2022. The building, designed by Italian architect Stefano Boeri and belonging to the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, has continuously concentrated criticism until it houses in 2022 the Cosquer Mediterranean Museum, with a replica of the Cosquer Cave.
