Saint-Martin Church is a Catholic parish church located in Ermenonville, Oise department, France. Ermenonville was erected as a parish by the chapter Notre-Dame de Senlis in 1213. The construction of the church had begun in 1170 / 1180 by the bell tower, but had subsequently stopped, and the vaulting of the choir was certainly not completed until the second quarter of the thirteenth century.
The entire choir belongs to the first Gothic period. In the 14th century, a new nave was being built, but it was likely that the Hundred Years' War did not allow for its vaulting. In 1528, parishioners decided on an important program to repair the church, mainly the choir and roofs.
Six years later, they wanted to give the church a new nave. This project lasts from 1534 to 1540, which is not long since the large arcades of the 14th century are maintained. The vaults of the nave and the lower side, almost entirely rebuilt, display the flamboyant Gothic style.
A few windows are still redone a little later. In 1614 / 1615, the Lord Méry de Vic gave the sanctuary a representative altarpiece, with a painting...
