The Sand Sea is a theme park opened in 1963 and located in the heart of the Ermenonville Forest, close to Ermenonville in the Oise. It is the oldest theme park in France. The park offers visitors the discovery of three worlds: "The Arizona Desert" with its dune, "The Colorado Canyon" on the conquest of the West and "The Mississippi Valley" with its exotic world.

Rather intended for children under 14 and their families, the park offers about 20 attractions including five playgrounds and other monkey bridges, four live shows including two equestrians and a pony ride. The park belongs to the company Les Centres Attractives Jean Richard, a subsidiary of Looping Holding.
