About

The Villa de Tourville, on the territory of the municipality of Saignon (Vaucluse), is an archaeological site first searched by Dominique Carru, director of the departmental archaeological department of Vaucluse, and then by André Kauffmann, curator of the museums of Apt. Their teams cleared the ruins of a Gallo-Roman rustica villa mainly dedicated to the production of oil and wine and then showed that it was at the center of a network of farms and houses, connected to each other and to Apta Julia by means of communication channels.
