pont Putte Savate de Châlons-sur-Marne
The Pont Putte Savate is located in Châlons-en-Champagne, it passes over the Mau. His name evokes the old name of Rue Croix-des-Teinturiers on which he is located, a name that was changed in 1823. Then made of wood, it was rebuilt in stone in the early 19th century.
The name "Putte Savate" dates back to the Middle Ages, when tanners carried out their "pusting" activity (putte in former French). Since the cover of the Mau in 1882 for the construction of the covered market of Châlons-en-Champagne, only one face is visible.
