About

The "Canonne Farm British Cemetery, Sommaing" is a First World War military cemetery in the territory of Sommaing, North.

History: Sommaing was occupied by German troops in late August 1914 and remained far from the front until October 24, 1918, when the village was taken over by British troops after violent clashes. This cemetery was created on that date to bury British soldiers who had fallen during the fighting, mostly on 24 October 1918.
