The Bermerain Communal Cemetery is one of two military cemeteries of the First World War located in the territory of the municipality of Bermerain, North. The second is the British military cemetery located at the crossroads of the Vendegies-sur-Écaillon road.

Location: This cemetery is located at the northeast exit of the village, at the entrance of the communal cemetery, rue de la Folie.

History: Bermerain was occupied by German troops at the end of August 1914 and remained far from fighting until October 24, 1918, when the village was taken over by British troops.

Character: This cemetery contains the graves of 41 British soldiers who fell on 24 October 1918 or died of their wounds in the following days during the fighting to liberate the village.
