Ouvrage Simserhof

The Simserhof is a fortified building on the Maginot line, located in the municipality of Siersthal (in the distance of Legeret, rue André-Maginot), in the Moselle department. It's a big artillery structure, with ten blocks. Built from 1929 to 1936, the building was spared the fighting of June 1940, but not the fighting of November 1944. The book is now a tourist site, one of the most visited of the Maginot line.
